MERCED COUNTY, CA – A man lost his life in a head-on crash in Merced County early Tuesday morning. The California Highway Patrol (CHP) reported the accident occurred around 6:20 a.m. on Highway 59, south of Oakdale.
The driver of a Ford Fusion crossed into the opposite lane and collided head-on with a dump truck. The man was pronounced dead at the scene, while the truck driver was uninjured.
