Dog Attack in Victorville Injures Child Walking to School [Victorville, CA]

VICTORVILLE, CA (February 29, 2024) — In a distressing incident in Victorville, two children were attacked by a dog while on their way to school, resulting in hospitalization for a 7-year-old girl. 

The attack occurred early Thursday morning on the 13800 block of Mesa Linda Avenue, prompting a swift response from the Victorville Police Department. Upon arrival, officers discovered that the children had been bitten by an unidentified dog, with one child managing to escape unharmed. 

The 7-year-old, however, sustained multiple injuries and was transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center for treatment. The dog fled the scene following intervention by a local resident. 

This dog attack in Victorville follows recent attacks in the area, highlighting a growing concern over dog safety in the community. It comes on the heels of the Compton dog attack and Azusa dog bite case in the same month, which both led to devastating outcomes.
