SAN BERNARDINO, CA – A significant traffic backup happened on the southbound 215 Freeway Monday morning following a crash involving a tractor-trailer.
The accident took place around 7:40 a.m. on February 10, near the University Parkway Exit, several miles from the 15 Freeway interchange.
Reports indicate that a white sedan and the semi-truck collided, causing the truck to veer into the center divider. The impact sent the vehicle through multiple guardrails, knocking over trees that obstructed several lanes.
A SigAlert was issued, closing both the left lanes of the southbound and northbound 215 Freeway for several hours while crews worked to clear the wreckage and make repairs. Thankfully, only minor injuries were reported.
The California Highway Patrol Inland Station is investigating the cause of the tractor-trailer crash on Southbound 215.
