LOS ANGELES, CA – Dashcam footage from a Tesla Model Y recorded a motorcyclist damaging its passenger-side mirror in an apparent road rage incident on the 110 Freeway near the Hill Street exit on February 8.
The video shows the motorcyclist attempting to split lanes before slowing behind the Tesla, shaking their head in frustration, and then striking the mirror with their fist before speeding away.
Lane splitting is legal in California, and CHP advises drivers to provide space for motorcyclists. It is unclear what triggered the confrontation or if authorities were contacted.
