A teenage boy was hospitalized Sunday evening after being struck by a vehicle while walking through an intersection in Santa Rosa.
The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. at College Avenue and Beaver Street. According to the Santa Rosa Police Department, the teen was crossing the street when he was hit by a car driven by a 30-year-old man.
Emergency crews arrived at the scene and transported the teen to a local hospital. He is expected to survive, though officials have not disclosed the extent of his injuries.
The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Authorities said alcohol and drugs do not appear to be factors in the crash.
The incident remains under investigation.
