Tragic Accident Claims Young Woman’s Life in Malibu Cliff Plunge
MALIBU, CA (March 15, 2024) — A heartbreaking incident unfolded on Thursday as a young woman lost her life after her vehicle careened off a cliff on Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu.
Reported around 9:45 p.m. near Leo Carrillo State Beach, the accident involved a Honda CRV driven by a woman in her 20s, veering into the southbound lanes and colliding with a parked Toyota Yaris before plunging over the roadside and striking a power pole.
Despite efforts to save her, the driver was tragically ejected from the vehicle and found lifeless at the base of the cliff. Meanwhile, two individuals from the Toyota suffered minor injuries and were hospitalized.
As authorities investigate the incident, questions remain unanswered regarding the cause, including whether factors like drugs, alcohol, or speed played a role.
