Fatal Crash Near Mojave Claims The Life of Ridgecrest Woman
BAKERSFIELD, CA (February 22, 2024) — A tragic accident near Mojave has resulted in the death of a Ridgecrest woman, California Highway Patrol (CHP) officials reported.
The collision occurred on Wednesday at approximately 11 a.m. at the intersection of Highway 14 and the westbound Highway 58 offramp. According to the CHP, a Chevrolet truck, driven by the victim, was merging from the Highway 58 offramp onto Highway 14 when it collided with a vehicle traveling northbound on Highway 14.
The impact of the collision resulted in fatal injuries for the driver of the Chevrolet and injuries for a passenger in the truck. The identity of the deceased will be announced by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office in due course.
