LANCASTER, CA (March 17, 2024) — A woman lost her life in Lancaster on Saturday following a multi-car collision attributed to a driver allegedly running a red light. The accident occurred shortly before 9:45 p.m. at the intersection of Avenue J-8 and 20th Street East, as reported by the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.

A Mitsubishi Outlander, proceeding southbound on 20th Street East, reportedly disregarded a red traffic signal and collided with a westbound Infiniti G35 on Avenue J-8. The impact caused severe damage, leading to the partial ejection of a female passenger from the Infiniti, who was subsequently declared deceased after being transported to a local hospital.

The car crash in Lancaster left several passengers from both vehicles trapped, necessitating emergency services’ intervention.
